VIEW office relocates to new home

BAD AXE — Nearly five months after a fire destroyed their former office building, the staff of the Huron County VIEW has found a place to call home.

Starting today, the eight-person VIEW team will move to 592 N. Port Crescent St. (M-142/M-53) in the Port Crescent Plaza.

VIEW Publisher Jane Vanderpoel said her staff is thrilled with their new location, and they are grateful to everyone in the community who helped them since the fire.

“We are all excited to once again have a place to hang our hats, and to have a sense of permanency. We are very appreciative to our old business neighbors as well as to our new neighbors for their immediate assistance during our relocation process. We are also thankful to our customers and readers for their understanding and words of encourage- ment after our fire. Your outreach and support proved to all of us that Huron County is not just a great place to live, it is a great place to do business,” she said.

Besides the change of address, all other contact information will remain the same. Staff can be reached by calling 810-245-9343. Story ideas may be e-mailed to Editor Kelly Taylor-Jerome at kjerome@mihomepaper.com or faxed to 989-269-7730. Individuals seeking to advertise in the Huron County VIEW may call the office or email tphilp@mihomepaper.com.

Immediately after the fire, which occurred on June 10, VIEW staff moved to 222 Park Ave., where they shared an office space with the ITC Project Field Office.

The owners of the Huron County VIEW have not made a decision regarding the fate of the 55 Westland Drive building, Vanderpoel said.
